Common Questions

Finding the right support is a journey of self-trust. Here are some of the most frequent questions about my equine-assisted coaching practice.

What is coaching vs. therapy?

Therapy often focuses on diagnosing and treating clinical mental health conditions and exploring past trauma deeply. Coaching is future-oriented and action-based. While we honor the past through a trauma-informed lens, our focus is on building skills, regulation, and tactical strategies for the life you are leading now.

If you are currently in a crisis or require clinical intervention, therapy is the appropriate first step. Coaching acts as a powerful container for those ready to build new habits and navigate life transitions with agency.

I do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or documentation for court proceedings. However, I specialize in helping you navigate the emotional complexity of co-parenting. We work on developing effective communication styles, maintaining healthy boundaries, and staying emotionally regulated during difficult interactions so you can show up as the best parent possible.

Yes, life happens. I request at least 24-hour notice for any cancellations. This allows me to offer that time to someone else on the waiting list and respects the schedule of the staff. Cancellations with less than 24-hour notice may be subject to a fee.

Trauma-informed coaching means that every aspect of our work is built on the pillars of safety, choice, and pacing. I understand how trauma impacts the nervous system. Our sessions are designed to never overwhelm you; instead, we work with the horses to build a sense of grounded awareness, ensuring you always feel in control of the process and the environment.
